Roman Time Machine

        The Similar Problems:

             The US. today has many of the same problems as ancient Rome did. However the US. might not call one of these problems overpopulation, but they have some of the problems that it causes. Since the economy is not good in the US, many people live on the streets because they don't have a job. Many of the streets in ancient Rome were also filled with citizens who lost their land and jobs when they returned from war and because they lost their jobs they couldn't pay the taxes.

             Since the US. also has more people with a lack of jobs, many people need a wealthfare program. In ancient Rome Julius Ceasar also started a wealthfare program. The problem with the program was that when the slaves took the jobs of Roman citizens jobs more Romans relied on it. Without their jobs Romans coouldn't pay taxes so,  Rome also had a lack of tax funds for support. 

           Ancient Rome also had more people immagrating from other contries at the same time. This made Rome a rather crampted and small space to live in. Also with Rome not conquring more land they were running out of space to build houses, stores, markets, farms, ect. The US. today also has a problem with illegall immagration. The illegall immagrants that come to the US are willing to work for less than US citizens are and pushing citizens out of jobs. This also happened to Rome only with the slaves.
