Overpopulation In Ancient Rome Home Page

Below is a street that is worn from all the people who lived in ancient Rome:

Roman Overpopulation caused many different problems. Some of these problems are similar to those in the United states today.
1.  The Romans were not conquering land meaning there was a lack of space for people to live in.
2. Slaves were taking all the Roman jobs and the Roman citizens didn't have enough money to pay the taxes.
3. There was not enough tax money to support the wealthfare program in Rome. Since Romans were out of jobs many of them relied on the program to keep them alive.

Solutions to Overpopulation:
1. According to present day officials from NPG it would be easier to tell Rome to reduce immigration so only people born in Rome could live there. NPG got this solution from working with overpopulated places in the US. They even have fundraisers to help support their ideas.
